Aerial hoop is often seen in circus performances, perfectly presenting the elegance and beauty of an athlete. It is an unique and fun workout since we will train mostly in the air, which will help you to greatly enhance your strength. It is also a total body workout to help you become more flexible and improve your condition.
Beginner aerial hoop class is for anyone who has no or very little expereince with hoop. We will start from the basic techniques and poses such as mount/dismount, various hip hold poses, knee hangs techniques etc, and then guide you step by step to the more challenging but still beautuful hoop poses and combos such as Mermaid, back balance, Gazelle etc.
For intermediate classes, students must be comfortable mounting and dismounting top and bottom bar of hoop. Students will learn more complex transitions and moves such as Amazon, rolling and different aerial splits. The course will also focus on training students’ strength and flexibility and prepare them for the advanced moves.
In the advanced lesson, besides advanced hoop poses and combo, we will focus on the dynamic side of the hoop training such as spin, flip, turn, and roll. Students will need to have at least an year hoop experience and intermediate flexibility.
